Question by Matt: How Do I Pick The Most Trusted Online Dealer To Buy Silver Coins From

I would like to invest some money in pure silver bullion coins such as the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf. How do I determine the best place to purchase them from online? It's important to me to find a dealer who will potentially be able to buy the coins back in 8 years or so. I'm also wondering if silver coins or silver bars will be easier to sell later on? Thanks!

When buying bullion, it's important to get it as cheaply as possible, and later sell for the highest price. If one dealer charges even an extra 2%, that can really eat into your profits. I've personally dealt with GoldSilver.com and have had good luck with them. You also want to make sure the dealer is reliable and has a good rating and reputation.

You may be able to get silver bars a bit cheaper, but when you sell them you'll also get a lower price. Coins also have the benefit that they may command some collector premium someday. For example, if you buy a bunch of Silver Maples and then they decide to discontinue them, you can bet they'll be worth a lot more.

But why limit yourself? I usually buy a little bit of everything.
